Etsy Gift Finder

We partnered with the teams at VIRTUE and Etsy to design a seasonal holiday microsite featuring interactive tags for shoppers looking for the perfect gift. Etsy's main goal was to create a beautiful and tactile experience for users—by creating a digital version of filling out gift tags—while curating a marketplace of personalized shopping + gift-giving on Etsy. We partnered with another designer who lead the UX design of the microsite, and we lead the interface design for each of 3 unique gift tags users could fill out. Users visiting the site (via a promoted Pin), filled in the gift tag prompts for the person they were shopping for, and then received a recommended list of Etsy products to shop as a result.Collaborators: Etsy Design Team (Art Direction + Photography), Kyle MacDonald (Tech Lead), VIRTUE (Agency)
The Camper (Example)
The first design option we created was a nod to nature-inspired DIY wrapping, with winter sprigs, twine, and kraft paper. When users reached the microsite, they were greeted by a navy tag and sprigs hanging in their viewport, ready to be filled in with personalized prompts for their gift recipient. After the tag was fully filled out, users tapped "Find Gifts Now," and saw a loading screen with a snow-speckled wreath on kraft paper, while Etsy compiled a list of the perfect gifts. 
The Chef (Example)
The second tag design was inspired by simple mint and peppermint tones, with kraft paper as a gift-wrapping accent. When users reached the microsite, they were greeted by a simple mint tag hanging in their viewport, ready to be filled in with personalized prompts for their gift recipient. After the tag was fully filled out, users tapped "Find Gifts Now," and saw a loading screen with a snow-speckled wreath on kraft paper, while Etsy compiled a list of the perfect gifts. 
The Stylist (Example)
The third tag referenced the first light Winter snow, with an icy mint background to set the tone. When users reached the microsite, they were greeted by a light off-white tag and snowflakes hanging in their viewport, ready to be filled in with personalized prompts for their gift recipient. After the tag was fully filled out, users tapped "Find Gifts Now," and saw a loading screen with a snow-speckled wreath on mint paper, while Etsy compiled a list of the perfect gifts.
